Workers Compensation is a complex and sensitive area of insurance demanding expert service provision.  APEX can act as your insurance broker to work with you to manage your renewal process, setting up new cover, providing necessary documentation and ensuring that all calculations are accurate from the underwriter.

CLAIMS MANAGEMENT
Workers Compensation is a no fault system that is designed to provide workers protection when they are injured at work.  APEX is conscious of this, as well as the impact it has on company’s morale and ultimately its bottom line.  With this in mind, our aim is to assist and inject further stimulation to a claim keeping it moving so that rehabilitation is maintained, paperwork is not bottle-necking and employees and employers are meeting their obligations.

  • What must an employer do when an employee sustains a work related injury?
  • Does an employer have to lodge a claim with their insurer if their employee sustains an injury?
  • What can I do if the workers doctor is repeatedly issuing Unfit Certificates?

RETURN TO WORK COORDINATOR

Category 1 employers (who have premiums > $50,000 or have more than 20 employees), are required to have a qualified Return-to-Work Coordinator.  Most business are not able to have a dedicated person for this role nor the exposure or the experience of dealing with various predicaments associated with injured workers.

Common Concerns Employers Face:
  • Validity of injury is questioned not to be work related. How can I prove this?
  • Advise and assist with formal notice of termination process to our clients for the injured worker to avoid   unfair dismissal action and how this can effect your premium for the next 3 years.
  • What can I do if the workers doctor is repeatedly issuing Unfit Certificates?
